"Telangana has further strengthened its leadership position in Lifesciences innovation and Manufacturing, contributing to more than 35% to the national pharmaceutical production of the country. The State is also recognized as the Vaccine Hub of India and the world, producing about 33% of global vaccines. Government has set out an ambitious vision for the sector, through leveraging the existing strengths to create 4,00,000 jobs with an investment of USD 100 Billion in next 10 years. In order to achieve the vision, Government has taken various initiatives including Hyderabad Pharma City, Medical Devices Park, Innovation policy, support for incubators, Life Sciences infrastructure fund, BioAsia, among others and is planning on taking a number of other initiatives including launching a new life sciences policy, improve the ease of doing business (existing & new investments), help local industries partner with global investors, promote skill development, among others.
